The first day of the Vault party is officially over and it was SUCH a great time. Heather really, really put together a spectacular event. We showed up around 3:45, walked around a bit, and started meeting people.
The night before, all of the members of the band had a CD burning party where we made 75 total CD’s containing 2 unmastered tracks from our upcoming album. We put “Snakecharmer” and “Harbinger” on the CD’s. Each member of The Holy Hounds took on 25. We drew on them, and individually numbered each one and named it the “Vault Party EP.” We have some left over, and they will be available all weekend (if we don’t run out!)
Uncle Skunkle and the Scarecrow Family Band was up first. Incredibly cool dudes playing a mix of hardcore punk and surf. Way rad. We were up after them and I thought we played a pretty solid set. Probably the best we have ever played. After that, The Red Headed Stepchildren played. Those guys could RIP! Fun times. After that, however, came the mighty Dex Romweber Duo. INCREDIBLE.
It was definitely a very, very great night!
Just got into Nashvile safe and getting settled into our hotel. It is wonderful here at the Millennium. Very beautiful place. We would definitely recommend it to anyone staying here! Show tomorrow! GETTING EXCITED.
We are leaving out the door right now headed to Nashville for what is undoubtedly the coolest show of our lives! Wish us luck and see you on the other side….
Our 14 hour drive from Battle Creek, MI to Virginia Beach turned into 19 hours thanks to DC traffic accidents. One victim had to be MediVac helicoptor’d out. Sad. At least we got to VA safe and sound!
We are in the van right now headed down to Virginia Beach to meet up with our drummer, Matt, to play for a few days, take in the sun, and get ready for our show on June 5! We are playing the Third Man Records / The Vault fan party at The Basement / Grimey’s in Nashville, TN. Some performers include the legendary Dex Romweber Duo, Dan Sartain, and many more!
We are playing an acoustic show tomorrow at Founder’s Brewing Co. in Grand Rapids, MI as part of Midwest Fest 2010! Come check it out… it’s FREE and we are playing with the Juliets, Sh! the Octopus, and more! Show is at 8 and we go on at 11.
Hope to see you there!
